Noveleta PLEB takes oath
NOVELETA, Cavite Mayor Dino Reyes-Chua led the swearing-in of new members of the Noveleta People’s Law Enforcement Board or PLEB in simple rites held at Malens Restaurant in Barangay Magdiwang, Monday, November 21, 2022, witnessed by Police Major Rommel Carcellar, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Noveleta MPS (Municipal Police Station).
The Noveleta PLEB Board composed of Councilro Edwin Salud, Barangay San Jose Dos Chairman Jay Alix Lontoc and Atty. Mario Espiritu.
The PLEB is an administrative office (quasi-judicial body) that is a branch of the government that hears, investigates, and decides on the complaints and grievances of citizens against abusive, excessive, and disrespectful police officers. Filing a complaint with the PLEB is free and free of charge.
The PLEB was established by the Republic Act (RA) 6975 or DILG Act of 1990 and other provisions of Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991.
