Notorious ‘rapist’ held
NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Vicente D. Danao Jr. yesterday announced the capture of one of Metro Manila’s most wanted persons during a manhunt operation in San Andres Bukid in Manila.
The official identified the suspect as 40-year old John Enage, the subject of a pending warrant of arrest for rape with no bail recommended by Judge Francisco Rano of the Trece Martirez City Regional Trial Court Branch 23 on May 14, 2015.
Maj. Gen. Danao said that a tracker team from the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Group under Lieutenant Colonel Melvin R. Montante tracked down the suspect in his residence at no. 2312 Chromium Street in San Andres Bukid.
The suspect did not resist arrest when surrounded by NCRPO-RSOG officers led by Major Elvin John Tio and operatives from the Manila Police District Station 6 under Brigadier Gen. Leo M. Francisco.
Members of the QCPD Station 14 led by Maj. Jun Fortunato also captured retired Marine Staff Sergeant Joseph Sabbaluca who is wanted for illegal possession of firearms and explosives, according to QCPD director, Brig. Gen. Antonio C. Yarra.
The Q.C. RTC Branch 216 recommended no bail for the liberty of the ex-soldier who was arrested in Barangay Malitao in Echague, Isabela, said Maj. Gen. Danao.
