Nograles thanks PBBM for law on establishment of Montalban hospital
RIZAL 4th District Rep. Fidel Nograles on Saturday thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for signing this week the law establishing the Northern Tagalog Regional Hospital in Montalban, which he said would provide easier access to the people of Rizal and those from neighboring areas.
The lawmaker added that the NTRH would help lessen the burden of Rizaleños who would usually travel travel to Metro Manila to seek medical and hospital services.
“Right now, the people of Rizal still need to commute and brave hours of traffic for their medical needs. The NTRH, a well-equipped health and medical institution, would eliminate that need, and ensure that not only Montalbeños, but also residents of San Mateo and other towns of Rizal, along with parts of Quezon City, and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan are attended to immediately,” the solon said.
Nograles is the author of the said law, which he has pushed for since his first term in 2019.
The NTRH is a Level II 200-bed capacity hospital under the Department of Health. It is set to become the first national hospital in Rizal, as well as the first hospital in Region IV-A with an infectious disease laboratory.
The lawmaker said that the NTRH will be offering the following services: consultations for pediatrics, medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and surgery. It will also have a clinical laboratory for blood testing, a pharmacy, and first level x-ray and ultrasound services.
Services for dental care, family planning, maternity facilities, a general intensive care unit for critically ill patients, neonatal intensive care unit, high risk pregnancy unit, and provisions for respiratory therapy services, will also be included, he said.
