Nobody will get hungry, nutritional foods for the poor — Virgie Rodriguez
VIRGINIA Rodriguez, a nominee of the Ateacher Partylist, has pledged to offer free meals to underprivileged families and students in every barangay and transportation terminal, aiming to combat malnutrition and promote the health of the Filipino population.
During the Gunting and Suklay Hanap Buhay CARAVAN of ATeacher Partylist in three municipalities in San Jose Nueva Ecija, Santa Fe Nueva Vizcaya and Aritao Nueva Vizcaya, Ms. Rodriguez said that she will file a bill called “Leave Nobody Hungry” to provide enough food to every Filipino family to end hunger and starvation in the country.
The Caravan. attended by various youth organizations, including Kraysiz Krays Villegas and Mob Sparo performed contemporary rap performances to Congresswoman Virginia Rodriguez, emphasizing the urgent need to tackle issues such as extreme hunger, insufficient educational facilities, and inadequate support for teachers and students.
“We fully endorse and admire Ms. Rodriguez for her commitment to assisting individuals in rural communities and the overlooked Filipino families. She is the only one capable of genuinely aiding us young people,” the youth said.
Ms. Rodriguez further confirmed that every teacher will be provided with a 50-kilos of sack of rice on the 15th and 30th of each month, ensuring they have access to nutritious food before heading to their classrooms.
“It is my long-standing aspiration that no Filipino should experience hunger, and I envision a future where the prices of food and essential goods are reduced. To achieve this, we will enhance our initiatives, including the establishment of Feeding Programs in schools and barangays. Additionally, the Ateacher Party will broaden its efforts to implement Food Caravans and Feeding Programs across all barangays and terminals nationwide,” stated Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, recognized as the first Filipino to discover VegieMax multi-vitamins with anti-cancer properties and an organic fertilizer designed to enhance crop development, possesses the unique capability to establish self-sustaining Feeding Programs and Food Caravans across the nation. Her expertise in agricultural programs enables her to formulate budgets that leverage modern techniques and technology in agriculture for food production.
Additionally, Ms. Rodriguez intends to advocate for legislation aimed at reducing the cost of rice and other essential commodities by utilizing organic fertilizers to boost the yield of all agricultural products.
Rodriguez, the author of “Leave Nobody Hungry,” is the only nominee of ATeacher partlist advocating to subsidize the cost of rice production aimed at supporting farmers and impoverished families in the Philippines.
This program is designed to enhance the earnings and productivity of small-scale farmers and those in need.
The Ateacher Partylist stands as a genuine ally and supporter of the Filipino populace in Congress for the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections. The organization has committed to tackling critical issues such as hunger, education, teachers’ benefits, the provision of free books and uniforms, as well as ensuring food security.
