No segregation of garbage, no collection in Imus

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The City Environment and Natural Resources Office is conducting information dissemination regarding the “No segregation of garbage, No collection” in the city.

The move was in compliance with the directive of the new administration in the city to help clean the environment and teach every resident of Imus the proper waste disposal.

Mayor Alex “AA” Advincula issued the “No Segregation, No Collection Policy” to all the residents of the 97 villages in the city to reduce the volume of trash being hauled by garbage trucks, to reduce trucking fees, and be beneficial to every citizen if they separate biodegradable, non biodegradable and recyclable items .

Personnel from the CENRO visit every barangay and sitios to inform, explain and tell the residents the importance of the program.

The CENRO is also conducting seminars in the barangays about the garbage policy.

A “Bantay Kalikasan” also conducted clean-up of rivers in the different villages in the city as well as road clearing operations.

Advincula’s directive is in accordance with Executive Order No. 19-A and Republic Act No. 9003 or the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.”
