To be handled by Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and Miami Heat mentor Erik Spoelstra, the team will play world No. 8 Greece, No. 26 New Zealand and No. 33 Jordan in the first round of group preliminary at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

If they advance to the second round, the United States will meet the top two teams from Group D, which could be No. 8. Lithuania, No. 18 Montenegro, No. 31 Mexico and No. 55 Egypt.

“We look forward for the opportunity to compete for the gold medal in the World Cup. We are excited for the challenges ahead,”added Kerr, who succeeded San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich.
