IT’S official.

PBA All Star Robert Bolick will now play for NLEX, Don Trollano will now suit up for San Miguel Beer and Kris Rosales, Ben Adamos and several other players will join NorthPort.

The blockbuster three-team, multi-player deal was formally approved by the PBA Commissioner’s Office on Monday, December 11.

As announced, NorthPort sent Bolick and Kent Salado to NLEX in exchange for Trollano, Adamos, Rosales, and a PBA Season 49 draft second-round pick.

San Miguel later joined the deal by shipping Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo and San Miguel’s Season 51 second-round pick to NorthPort.

In return, San Miguel acquired Trollano.

“The PBA Commissioner’s Office approved the three-team, multi-player trade involving NorthPort, NLEX and San Miguel on Monday,” the PBA said in an announcement posted at the official PBA website.

“In the center of the trades was Bolick, who was dealt by NorthPort to NLEX after efforts to keep the 6-foot-1 shooting guard proved futile.”

Bolick, the 6-1 shooting guard from Leyte, was taken in by NorthPort as the No. 3 pick overall in the 2018 PBA draft.

A former PBA All Star and two-time PBA Second Mythical Team selection, Bolick averaged 17.4 points, 6.2 assists and 5.5 rebounds in 83 games with the Batang Pier.

Last May 15, Bolick decided to leave NorthPort and play for the Fukushima Firebonds of the B2 League.

Last Oct. 19, he was released by the Japanese team after only one game upon his request to attend to his pregnant wife,

The Batang Pier, however, still hold his rights in the PBA even after signing with Fukushima.

NLEX later pursued Bolick after star guard Kevin Alas sustained a third anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL) injury.

NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre acknowledged the team’s effort to get Bolick.

“In light of Kevin Alas’s unfortunate injury, we recognize the pressing need to fill the void left by his scoring and leadership. Robert Bolick is a remarkable player, and we believe his skills and experience will significantly contribute to the NLEX Road Warriors. We are excited about the prospect of having him on our roster and look forward to the positive impact he can make for the team,” said Dulatre in a statement sent to People’s Tonight.

“We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Don, Ben, and Kris for their dedication and hard work with the NLEX Road Warriors. Each of them has played a crucial role in our team’s journey, and we wish them continued success, both on and off the court. This proposed trade provides them with an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents with another team, and we genuinely appreciate their contributions to the NLEX Road Warriors.”

San Miguel, which is dealing with injuries to seven-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo and a couple of other starters, made the move to acquire Trollano from NorthPort by sending Bulanadi, Faundo and a second-round pick to the Batang Pier.

Trollano is considered as a good addition to the Beermen, who are playing minus Fajardo, Terrence Romeo, Vic Manuel. Jeron Teng, Simon Enciso and Kyt Jimenez.

The Batang Pier, who defeated the undermanned Beermen last week, ended up with Bulanadi, Faundo, Rosales, and Adamos to boost a core that featured Arvin Tolentino, Joshua Munzon along with rookies Cade Flores, Brent Paraiso and Fran Yu.
