NIA-UPRIIS launches 6th Kadiwa store in Guimba
GUIIMBA, Nueva Ecija — The National Irrigation Administration-Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation Systems (NIA-UPRIIS) on Friday launched its sixth “Kadiwa sa NIA-UPRIIS” store at the Division 6 office in this town.
Led by engineer Gertrudes A. Viado, NIA-UPRIIS head, and engineer Jose Ariel G. Domingo, NIA-UPRIIS Division 6 chief, the launching in Bgy. Cavite was also graced by farmer-members of the 13 irrigator associations headed by its president Frederico C. Cinense III.
Viado urged the farmer-irrigators’ group to work hard as more convergence programs are prioritized by the national government towards the attainment of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s dream for the farmers and the Filipino people.
Also earlier, the NIA-UPRIIS launched the “Kadiwa sa NIA-UPRIIS” at the Division 5 office here headed by engineer Rogelio C. Macatula.
Macatula said those who participated in the activity included farmer-members from the Glorya sa Bagong Milenyo irrigators association, NACATAMAACO IA, Guimba-Licab IA, Manacasanta-Guimba IA and the BM Capuso IA.
Patterned after the President’s “Kadiwa sa Pangulo project” NIA administrator engineer Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen earlier said their agency’s “Kadiwa sa NIA” also is aimed at establishing additional market for the farmers and fisherfolk and bring the commodities closer and direct to the consumers without the intervention of middlemen.
