New PCO execs
PRESIDENT Marcos has appointed a former broadcast journalist as new acting secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
As PCO chief, Jaybee “Jay” Ruiz is seen to come up with highly-effective measures aimed at informing the people of government progams.
A veteran broadcast journalist, Ruiz replaced Cesar Chavez, who served as PCO top honcho for less than six months.
Malacanan also announced the appointment of lawyer Claire Castro as PCO undersecretary.
As a hard-hitting vlogger, the new PCO undersecretary is seen to counter fake news on social media.
Secretary Ruiz told reporters that President Marcos wanted the PCO to deliver the “truth” about government programs and services.
Ruiz said the PCO under his administration will deliver the “truth” about government programs and services.
“We have to always be on the side of the truth, not with lies, There should not be room for falsehoods,” he said.
Hopefully, the PCO succeeds in fighting fake news as the mid-term national and local elections approach.
Good luck, Secretary Jay Ruiz and Undersecretary Claire Castro.
