GRADUATES of the prestigious United States Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Association (FBINAA) in the country, many of them now holding key positions in the government, the Philippine National Police and National Bureau of Investigation have elected their new officers.

U.S. Embassy Legal Attaché Ms. Courtney Corbett led the oath-taking of the newly-elected Board of Trustees and officers of the FBINAA Philippine Group during simple ceremonies held at the Diamond Hotel in Manila.

The group is now headed by Office of Transportation Security administrator, Undersecretary Crizaldo O. Nieves, a graduate of the PNP Academy ‘Tagapagbuklod’ Class of 1989. He retired as director of the Police Regional Office 2 in Cagayan Valley with the rank of Police Brigadier General.

Other officers of the FBINAA Philippine Group are Colonel Sandro Jay Tafalla (Vice-President); Col. Ma. Ivy Castillo (Secretary); Maria Isabel C. Santos (Treasurer); Attorney Auralyn L. Pascual (Auditor); Ma Aplasca (Business Manager); Col. Felipe B. Maraggun (Public Relations Officer); Atty. Ricardo A. Diaz (Chairman for Retired Members); and Atty. Reynaldo Esmeralda (Chairman for Active Members).

Apart from active and retired officers of the PNP and the NBI, the event was also attended by FBINAA alumni holding leadership positions in the government and private sector.
