New Napolcom-Calabarzon chief visits Batangas PPO

THE newly appointed regional director of the Napolcom-Calabarzon (National Police Commission-Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Atty. Leonora G. Bartolome visited Camp Gen. Miguel C Malvar, Batangas City Tuesday, August 2, where an arrival honors were awarded by Batangas PPO (Police Provincial Office) personnel led by Provincial Director P/Col. Glicerio C. Cansilao.

The visit is part of Napolcom’s mandate to exercise administrative control and operational supervision in the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Chief Provincial Operations and Management Unit P/Lt. Col. Dwight F. Fonte, Jr. presented the peace and order situation in the province as well as the plans, programs, best practices, and initiatives of PNP Batangas through a briefing presentation.

Meanwhile, Atty. Bartolome shared her suggestions so that the Batangas Police can improve their interventions and incidents such as rape, theft, and the problem of illegal drugs.

The Napolcom-Calabarzon regional director expressed gratitude to Batangas PPO and congratulated Cansilao for his leadership.

Atty. Bartolome stressed that the duties performed by each police officer are “essential”, but the stress experienced by them should not be “ignored”, which may lead to mental illness or depression.
