JAEN, Nueva Ecija – The long wait is finally over.

The municipal government announced that the new Santiago “Santy” R. Austria College (SSRAC) is now accepting enrolees for two courses for the incoming first semester of academic year 2024-2025.

The two courses that will be initially offered for the newly-built learning institution named after the former late mayor and husband of Mayor Sylvia C. Austria are the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (B.S Entrep) and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECed).

The SSRAC also announced that it is holding qualifying examinations for incoming freshmen at the municipal gymnasium on August 13, 14 and 15, 2024.

In its advisory, it said that various incentives would also be given to qualified students with “highest honor,” “high honor” and “honor.”

Those with “highest honor” would get a 100 percent discount on tuition fees and miscellaneous fees, Mayor’s book allowance worth P5,000 for Jaen residents and P2,000 non-Jaen residents, Vice Mayor’s transportation allowance worth P5,000 for Jaen residents, and free one set of uniform for Jaen residents only.

“Indeed, the fruition of dreaming big, coupled with the sincere and dedicated service of Mayor Sylvia C. Austria and Vice Mayor Atty. Sylvester C. Austria has made us become witnesses as history unfolds with the opening of SSRAC,” added the municipal government’s advisory.

Mayor Austria has said: “Ang pagpapatayo ng SSRAC ay bilang pagpapatuloy ng ligasiya ng yumaong alkalde na ang edukasyon ay isang pundasyon at mahalagang aspeto sa paghubog ng kinabukasan ng bawat kabataan.”
