
New ABC prexy of San Pedro City sworn in by Rep. Matibag
SAN PEDRO CITY, LAGUNA – San Antonio Barangay Captain Jun Ynion secured victory in the Liga ng mga Barangay election, winning by a vote of 14-13. The election, held in the session hall of San Pedro City Hall, marks the end of a long period without an ABC (Association of Barangay Captains) president in the city.
In the ABC President Election, Barangay Chairman Jun Ynion of Barangay San Antonio once again proved his ability to win, securing the presidency of the Liga ng mga Barangay with a straight vote from his team.
The election was witnessed by DILG representative Fatima Alon and COMELEC representatives at the Session hall this February 10,2025.
Ynion took his oath of office before Lone District Rep. Ann Matibag. The ceremony was witnessed by his wife Carissa Ynion and his allies.
“Congratulations to the newly-elected ABC President Kap. Jun Ynion! This victory is extra meaningful as it is the fruit of our work and passion in the pursuit for justice in our beloved city. I am grateful that it has now paid off! Now, San Pedro City has its very own ABC President. Congratulations, Kap. Ynion. There could not be a better leader for this position but you,” Matibag said in her congratulatory message.
In his message, Kap. Jun Ynion said, “Collective Effort, Towards the Progress of San Pedro! The majority of San Pedro barangay captains support your servant as the new ABC President. In fact, your servant promises to cooperate in our service to provide sufficient service to our constituents. You can expect that I will give my full skill and proper leadership as the ABC representative of the association of captains. To our 14 Barangay Captains, Hon. Eugenio S. Ynion Jr., Hon. Romeo Bonoan, Hon. Rodolfo Dimaunahan, Hon. Vioquelin Pascual, Hon. Samuel Rivera, Hon. Mario Pastidio, Hon. Bernabe Baldomar, Hon. Ernesto Doncillo, Hon. Roberto Ordan, Hon. Larry Edward Licmo, Hon.
