
NCRPO’s nets 114 targets in drive vs illegal gambling
A TOTAL of 114 persons were arrested by agents of the National Capital Region Police Office during a day-long crackdown against all forms of illegal gambling activities in Metro Manila last Tuesday, NCRPO director, Brigadier General Anthony A. Aberin said yesterday.
“This was part of our commitment to eradicate illegal gambling operations in the metropolis as part of our Able, Active and Allied framework of policing,” said the official.
Brig. Gen. Aberin said that from 6 a.m. Tuesday to 5:59 a.m. Wednesday, his men conducted a total of 54 anti-illegal gambling operations across Metro Manila which led to the arrest of 114 persons and the confiscation of ₱28,064 in cash bets.
“Our relentless campaign against illegal gambling underscores our dedication to creating safer and more secure communities for everyone. Guided by the Able, Active, and Allied framework, we are enhancing our operational capabilities, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, and sustaining a strong presence in the community,” said the Metro Manila police director.
“Let this be a clear and resolute message to those who exploit illegal means for profit: we will relentlessly pursue you with steadfast vigilance and uncompromising determination, upholding the law without fear or favor,” Brig. Gen. Aberin said.
