NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, Major General Felipe R. Natividad on Sunday said they are fully enhancing their partnership with the Filipino-Muslim community which he said are their vital partners in fighting criminality and terror in Metro Manila.

The official acknowledged the help they are getting from Filipino-Muslim leaders and their constituents each time they conduct operations in their areas, with many of them literally serving as their ‘eyes and ears’ when it comes to going after wanted persons in their communities.

Last Thursday, the Southern Police District (SPD) headed by Brigadier Gen. Jimili L. Macaraeg met with members of the Filipino-Chinese community in Taguig City where they discussed matters of mutual concern.

During the event, the SPD District Community Affairs and Development Division led by Lieutenant Colonel Jenny C. Tecson, in coordination with the Taguig City Police Station under Col. Robert Baesa talked with the residents led by Imam Mohammad Alu Maulana, Alex Abdulla and Abner Sali.

The Filipino-Muslim leaders also signed a peace covenant with the local police and offered their unwavering support and cooperation to the Philippine National Police’s war on drugs and terror.

The NCRPO provided food packs to the local community during the occasion.

“Kinikilala ng NCRPO ang aktibong pagtulong ng ating mga kapatid na Muslim sa kampanya laban sa terorismo, droga, kriminalidad at iba pang karahasan. Ito ay patunay na ang usaping pangkapayapaan ay isang bagay na lahat ay kaisa anuman ang ating relihiyon at paniniwala,” said Natividad.
