
NCRPO, PDEA seized over P10-M worth of shabu in metro sting
OVER P10 million worth of shabu was seized and arrested four High Value Targets in separate operations by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents in Manila, Quezon and Pasig cities.
In Quezon City, PDEA said the 30-year-old suspect alias Jahid, of Barangay 190, Pasay City, was nabbed during a sting operation in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City at about 10:25 a.m. Sunday.
Seized from the suspect were 500 grams of shabu and other non-drug evidence.
In Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported the arrest of a 40-year-old drug suspect during a buy-bust in Barangay 513, Sampaloc, Manila.
Authorities confiscated 44 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana valued at P5.28 million, along with buy-bust money and a sack used to conceal the drugs.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Police District-District Drug Enforcement Unit (EPD-DDEU) seized around P2 million worth of suspected shabu from an alleged notorious drug dealer and his wife during a buy-bust on Sunday afternoon in Pasig City.
Reports reaching EPD Director PCol.Tuliao Villamor, the suspects both from Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, were listed in EPD’s wanted HVT.
The couple was arrested by members of DDEU headed by PMajor Darwin Guerrero during in their house at First Christian Rodmon Village, Bgy. Pinagbuhatan at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
DDEU chief PMajor Darwin Guerrero said the couple had been in the illegal drug business for several years. They were also known suppliers of illegal drugs in Taytay and Cainta in Rizal.
All the suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs. PNA and Arlene Rivera
