ALL 17 Police Regional Offices led by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) have expressed their full support to the leadership of new Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, General Dionardo B. Carlos as they vowed to lead the way in following the 27th chief PNP’s directives, People’s Tonight learned.

NCRPO director, Major Gen. Vicente D. Danao Jr. hailed the appointment of Carlos as the new top cop as he underscored the commitment of the 23,000-strong Metro Manila police force to work fully with Carlos of Philippine Military Academy ‘Maringal’ Class of 1988.

Danao said they are aligning their actions to the “Alagang Carlos” program as the new PNP chief ordered them to focus on the task ahead, especially the upcoming May 2022 national and local elections.

Carlos has ordered his men to “Predict, Plan, Prepare, Practice and Perform Professionally to ensure a Peaceful Elections 2022.” He also committed to continue the anti-corruption and anti-criminality programs of his predecessors as well as their fiscal reforms and their intensified cleanliness policy.

The PNP chief, in particular, ordered the continuation of the PNP programs on anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs and anti-corruption through their Enhanced Managing Police Operations and the “Double Barrel-Finale Version 2022” in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency headed by his mistah, Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva.

Danao paid the highest form of respect to their new chief and guaranteed the NCRPO’s all-out support to his plans and programs.

“As the father of Team NCRPO, I pledge my commitment to stand firm with the plans and programs of our newly-appointed Chief PNP towards the attainment of our organizational goals and realization of our visions. We proudly congratulate him for his well-deserved appointment and we pray for strength and wisdom for him so that he may be able take the PNP to greater heights of glory in line with its commitment to deliver the highest form of police service to the people of this nation,” he said.

Cordillera Police Regional Office (PRO) director, Brigadier Gen. Ronald O. Lee also made the same commitment.

“We, 9,212-strong Cordillera police force, hail President Duterte’s decision to appoint Gen. Carlos whom we know for his very good track record, solid credentials and leadership qualities. It would be a real pleasure to work with a Powerhouse General as our Chief,” said the Cordillera PRO men headed by Lee in a statement.

Lee said they fully welcome the President’s decision to designate a known “soldier’s soldier” as their chief. Carlos is a well-rounded officer being a skydiver, a scuba diver, an expert motorcycle rider and a veteran member of the elite PNP Special Action Force.

The official said that this early, they are seeing to it that the directives of Carlos to wage an unrelenting war against drugs and other forms of criminality, insurgency, terror and corruption in the entire Cordillera region will continue amid the new normal brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also said on orders of the new PNP Chief, they are pressing their crackdown against identified partisan armed groups and loose firearms in the region which could be used as an “instrument of violence” in the forthcoming May 2022 national and local elections.

Lee likewise committed to fully support the Northern Luzon Area Police Command headed by Lieutenant Gen. Marni C. Marcos Jr. in fighting insurgency, terrorism and dismantling private armed groups and accounting for loose firearms in the region as they prepare for next year’s election.

“Cordillerans deserve only the best and as Gen. Carlos had promised, we are here to stay apolitical to ensure an honest, orderly and peaceful 2022 elections while going all-out against illegal drugs, criminality, insurgency and corruption,” Lee said.

The Cordillera police director assured the PNP chief that their fight against criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency and terrorism and corruption will remain unrelenting.

“As Gen. Carlos had promised the Filipino people, we will be carrying out our mandate without fear or favor and with greater might and vigor,” Lee said.

He also assured Cordillera residents of a more aggressive campaign against illegal drug trafficking and abuse since the PNP’s successful “war on drugs” has been proven to be a major factor behind the record massive decline in all forms of crime in the country over the past five years of the Duterte administration.

Officers and men of PRO4-A in Calabarzon region headed by Brigadier Gen. Eliseo DC Cruz also expressed their 100 percent commitment to support all plans and programs of the 27th PNP chief.

“We, officers and men of the Calabarzon police force, fully welcome President Duterte’s decision to appoint Gen. Carlos as our new Chief. He really has the respect of police officers and men as he is known for his solid track record, accomplishments, good character and leadership qualities,” said the PRO4-A in a statement.

Cruz aired the PRO4-A’s full commitment to support Carlos as he further builds on the gains of his predecessors led by now retired Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar.

The Calabarzon police director assured the PNP chief that their fight against criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency and terrorism and corruption will continue without any let-up.

“As Gen. Carlos had said, we need to fully perform our mandate to fight criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency and terrorism and corruption without fear or favor and with greater might and vigor,” Cruz said.

The official particularly assured Calabarzon residents of an intensified campaign against illegal drug trafficking and abuse knowing well that their successful war on drugs is a major factor behind the massive decline in all forms of crime in the region composed of the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon since 2016.

At the same time, he also echoed the call of Carlos for the entire Filipino community to maintain their vigilance not only in helping address the further spread of COVID-19 but in reporting the presence of suspicious-looking characters and movements in their neighborhood so that the local police can immediately address them.

The official also committed to fully support the Southern Luzon Area Police Command headed by Lieutenant Gen. Ferdinand O. Divina in fighting insurgency, terrorism and dismantling private armed groups and accounting for loose firearms in the region as they prepare for next year’s election.

PRO2 director Brig. Gen. Steve B. Ludan, PRO5 director Brig. Gen. Jonnel C. Estomo, PRO7 director Brig. Gen. Roque Edgardo DP Vega, PRO9 director Brig. Gen. Florencio T. Ortilla and PRO13 director Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. also issued similar statements expressing their full support to the leadership of the new PNP chief.
