NCRPO has 26 new elite SWAT commandos

TWENTY-SIX members of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) are now certified Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) officers after they finished a 60-day training at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City, NCRPO director, Major General Vicente D. Danao Jr. announced on Wednesday.

The 26 policemen selected from the five NCRPO districts and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion completed a tough 60-day SWAT training to further enhance their management skills specifically in dealing with hostage-rescue and counter-terror operations.

NCRPO Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Brigadier Gen. Jon A. Arnaldo congratulated the new SWAT officers for completing their training amid the pandemic and encouraged them to continue to strengthen their capabilities as new members of the elite unit of the police force.

“Gampanan nawa ninyo ng buong tapang at buong husay ang mga responsibilidad na nakaatang sa inyong mga balikat bilang mga bagong miyembro ng SWAT. Gamitin nawa ninyo ang inyong mga natutunan sa higit na ikararangal ng ating organisasyon at ikabubuti ng mas nakararami nating kababayan,” Arnaldo told the commandos.
