NCRPO cites 10 outstanding personnel

THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headed by Major General Vicente D. Danao Jr. on Monday commemorated the 31st founding anniversary of the Philippine National Police by citing 10 of its outstanding personnel who have contributed well in the NCRPO’s round-the-clock effort to keep Metro Manila safe.

PNP chief, General Dionardo B. Carlos, represented by PNP Director for Police-Community Relations, Major Gen. Walter E. Castillejos congratulated the NCRPO for their success in keeping peace and order in the metropolis specifically under the new normal.

Maj. Generals Castillejos and Danao conferred the PNP Medalya ng Kagalingan and plaques of recognition to the awardees led by Lieutenant Colonel Rosalino P. Ibay Jr., the chief of the Manila Special Mayor’s Reaction Team from the Manila Police District.

The other awardees were Lt. Col. Richard Ian T. Ang of the Quezon City Police District; Major Jose Luis R. Aguirre, the chief of the intelligence branch of the Pasig City Police Station; Captain John Lloyd G. Bawag of the NCRPO Regional Mobile Force Battalion; Police Senior Master Sergeant Edgardo V. Macalintal Jr. of the Pasig City Police Station Special Reaction Unit;

Police Master Sgt. Ariel C. Patricio of the Makati City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit; Police SSgt. Jonathan Ryan B. Casem of the NCRPO Regional Special Operations Group; Police Corporal Ruscel DC Solomon of the NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit; Cpl. Romer J. Esteban of the Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit; and Non-Uniformed Personnel Criseld M. Pilor.

Gen. Carlos congratulated the awardees for their invaluable contributions to the notable accomplishments of the NCRPO.

“Ang inyong masigasig na pagpapatupad ng ating mga programa laban sa kriminalidad, iligal na droga, korupsyon at terorismo at patunay lamang ng inyong paninindigan sa mga tungkulin at mandato para sa bayan at mamamayang Pilipino,” Gen. Carlos said.

The PNP chief likewise lauded the NCRPO and the other 16 police regional offices for ensuring the safety of the country against all forms of criminality and terrorism while strictly implementing the nationwide gun ban to ensure an honest and peaceful May 9 national and local elections.

During the occasion, a wreath-laying ceremony was also held at the NCRPO Bantayog ng mga Bayani to honor members of the Metro Manila police force who have died in the line of duty.
