NCRPO chief lauds Paranaque cops for arrest of 3 rob suspects
NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Major General Sidney Hernia on Friday commended members of the Parañaque City Police Station for the arrest of three of the six heavily-armed robbery-holdup suspects who victimized two residents of Multinational Village, Paranaque last Oct. 3 .
The robbery-holdup incident occurred at the Multinational Village at around 12:30 a.m. wherein six armed men entered the parking lot of a house at the intersection of Matthew St. and Multinational Avenue.
At gunpoint, the robbers ordered two Chinese nationals and four of their Filipino helpers to raise their arms then tied them with duct tape so the robbery could be done.b
Some of the suspects then went to tie the hands of the in-house security guard before moving to the master bedroom.
Inside, the thieves forced their Chinese victim, Lin, to open his vault where they scooped P700,000 in cash.
They also stole P280,000 and assorted jewelry valued at around P400,000 from the 2nd Chinese identified as alias Yu before fleeing on board a sedan.
Through a series of follow-up investigation and operations, the police managed to trace the movement of the suspects’ vehicle and with the help of a witness identified one of the robbers as alias Brian.
CCTV records in the area also helped in identifying the accused.
The ensuing operations led to the arrest of Brian, 38; and his two cohorts, alias John, 33; and alias Jevic, 29.
All three were found to be drivers by occupation.
The rest of the suspects identified as alias Ruel, 40; Ramel, 40; and Agustin, 37, are still being hunted as of press time.
A case for robbery has been filed against the suspects, one of which was found to be a driver of the victim who was in cahoots with the other accused.
