THE OCTA Research Group on Monday reported that all local government units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) are now classified as low risk for COVID-19 infection based on metrics.

Although some LGUs had a one-week growth rate, all 16 cities and one town had reproduction numbers less than 0.9 percent.

“This means all LGUs in the NCR are on a downward trend,” the group said in its latest report.

Navotas City is classified “very low risk” based on all indicators — average daily attack rate (ADAR), 1.48 percent; reproduction number, 0.27; healthcare utilization, 20; and intensive care unit utilization, zero.

The positivity rate in NCR decreased to 5 percent, reproduction number was low at 0.53, and healthcare utilization was similarly low at 30 percent.

The region’s ADAR likewise fell to 5.72 percent per 100,000 people and the seven-day average of new Covid-19 cases decreased by 14 percent to 810. Philippine News Agency
