NCR, Calasiao passport offices temporary closed due to COVID cases

THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) advised the public that the operations of DFA Consular Office (CO) NCR Central, located in Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City, and DFA Consular Office (CO) in Calasiao, located at Robinsons Place Pangasinan, are suspended September 13-17 2021 after 12 of its personnel were infected with COVID-19.

All affected passport appointments during this period will be rescheduled at the soonest possible time.

Ten CO NCR Central personnel and two CO Calasiao personnel have been infected with COVID-19. While other personnel have been identified as close contacts.

As such, both Consular Offices have temporarily suspended operations to conduct thorough disinfection of its premises and to comply with the isolation and quarantine guidelines imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Department of Health.

Affected applicants for this period will receive an email providing them the details of their alternative passport appointment.

The Department requests the public’s continued understanding as it adheres to the prescribed measures against the COVID-19 pandemic for the safety of personnel and applicants. Likewise, the Department urges applicants to ONLY refer to the official DFA platforms for announcements and updates.
