Navoteño fisherfolks get fishing nets
THE city government of Navotas, through the “Kadiwa Program” of the Department of Agriculture (DA), distributed fishing nets to 92 registered fisherfolks. Of this number, 75 received 500 to 700-meter nets used to catch various fishes, and 17 got 200 to 400-meter mesh nets for shrimp and crab trolling. Mayor and now Congressman-elect Toby Tiangco thanked the DA for their assistance in boosting livelihood opportunities for Navoteño fisherfolks.
