THE city government of Navotas rolled out its COVID booster vaccination for senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

The program is in line with the 3-day National COVID-19 Vaccination Days on November 29–December 1, 2021.

Senior citizens and persons with comorbidities, who completed their COVID-19 vaccine three months ago for Janssen and six months ago for other brands, are eligible to receive booster shots.

Those who prefer Pfizer need to set an appointment at https://covax.navotas.gov.ph/.

For the A3 category, only patients with cancer, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), immunodeficiency, who underwent organ transplant, and take immunosuppressive drugs are qualified to receive this brand.

Those who want AstraZeneca or Coronavac may walk-in on their chosen schedule at any vaccination sites administering the said brands.

“We asked and we received permission from the National Vaccine Operations Center to use Sinovac for all our A3 constituents regardless of their types of comorbidities. As for Astrazeneca, it was the city government who purchased the vaccines so we will give them to our A3 population,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

“We need to expedite the roll out of boosters to our most vulnerable sectors, especially now that we are faced with the threat of another COVID-19 variant,” he added.

The city government also provides free transportation to and from the vaccination sites for seniors and persons with disability.
