NAVOTAS City residents who will be caught violating safety health protocols will undergo mandatory swab testing at the Navotas Sports Complex.

This was announced by Mayor Toby Tiangco following the implementation of 24/7 RT-PCR testing to violators of existing City Ordinance No. 2021-18 amending penalties for those caught violating the curfew, failing to wear face mask and face shield and failing to observe social distancing.

Mayor Tiangco said community swab testing in Barangay Tanza 1 and 2 which were placed on lockdown started on Tuesday since it is important to determine who are infected with COVID-19 in order to provide them immediate medical attention.

The City Government also distributed food packs to some 1,804 affected residents of villages under lockdown.
