POLITICAL observers and even the ordinary citizens see some moves indicating that Malacanang may soon complete the designation of new government officials.

Hopefully, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. bares the names of other appointees on Monday, when he delivers his first State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA).

In the view of various quarters, it is necessary that Marcos, the 17th President of t he Philippines, should replace all non-performing appointive government officials.

Not only. The crusading Chief Executive from Ilocos Norte and Leyte ought to dismiss all those perceived to be involved in graft and corruption and other shenanigans.

“Dapat walang puwang ang mga kalokohan sa panunungkulan ni Pangulong Marcos para mapabilis ang socio-economic development ng bansa,” a village official said.

In the past, the public acknowledged that a good portion of the country’s national budget went into the big and deep pockets of corrupt government officials and employees.

This is the reason why there’s that urgent need for the Marcos presidency, which started last June 30 and ends at 12 noon on June 30, 2028, to rid the bureaucracy of crooks.

“Panahon na para mawala sa serbisyo ang mga tiwali, tamad, abusado at walang kwentang lingkod-bayan,” according to an avid follower of the 64-year-old former senator.

And all those performing below standards of public service should also be on the way out.

There should be a better reason for their continued stay in the government service.
