Speaker Romualdez sa mga atletang Pinoy:
IPINAABOT ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang taos-pusong pagbati nito sa mga atletang Pilipino sa kanilang makasaysayang narating sa 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
“Finishing 37th in the world, with two Gold medals and two Bronze medals, is a remarkable feat that reflects the indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication of our athletes,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
“Our country has waited a century to see such success on the global stage. Carlos Yulo’s victories, who earned two Gold medals in gymnastics, and a bronze medal each from Filipina boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas have made our nation proud, and we celebrate this momentous achievement,” sabi pa ng lider ng Kamara de Representantes.
Kinilala rin ni Speaker Romualdez ang iba pang atleta, gaya nina EJ Obiena at Bianca Pagdanganan, na muntik na ring magkamit ng medalya pero naging inspirasyon ng milyong Pilipino sa kanilang pagpupunyagi.
“I also extend my deepest appreciation to all Filipino athletes who made it to Paris. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have brought honor to our nation. Qualifying for the Olympics is already an extraordinary achievement, and you have shown the world the strength and resilience of the Filipino spirit,” wika pa ng lider ng Kamara.
Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, ang narating ng mga atletang Pilipino ay patunay ng pag-unlad at ng potensyal na maaaring maabot ng isports ng bansa.
“It highlights the importance of continued support for our athletes, who have brought honor to our country. Let this be the beginning of even greater successes in the future,” saad pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
“The entire nation stands proud of our athletes. You have lifted the Filipino spirit and proven that with hard work, discipline, and the support of the Filipino people, we can achieve greatness on the world stage. Mabuhay ang atletang Pilipino! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!” dagdag pa nito.
