NAIC, Cavite – Due to the quick response and follow-up operation, elements of the Naic Police immediately caught the robbery suspect who stole money from the vault of a grocery store in Barangay Ibayo Silangan on Wednesday evening.

P/Lt. Col. Resty Soriano, Naic Police chief, led the arrest of the suspect, a resident of Pulang Lupa 1, Las Piñas City.

Based on the report and evidence on CCTV (closed-circuit television) camera footage, the suspect gained entry at about 11:17 p.m. (December 7) by cutting the roof and scaling through the ceiling to the store.

The suspect proceeded to the office, forcibly destroying one Howell vault containing P15,000 cash, and immediately left the grocery store.

Found at the scene was one black wallet with identification cards believed to have been left by the suspect.

Further review of all CCTV camera footage confirmed the suspect’s identity and physical appearance, including his exact location.

In collaboration with Las Piñas City Police and Barangay Pulang Lupa 1, the suspect was immediately apprehended and was known as a “notorious” member of the “Akyat-Bahay Gang,” based in Las Piñas City that operates in the NCR (National Capital Region) and Cavite areas, victimizing convenience stores, residential areas, and business establishments.
