NAIA and MMDA, during the clearing operations, towed illegally parked and apprehended colorum motorcycles or commonly known as “habal-habal” and other colorum vehicles in major thoroughfares near the NAIA Terminals.

In a meeting held last December 28, 2022, The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) agreed to join hands to address rampant violations of colorum and illegally parked vehicles at the vicinity of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The task force, in collaboration with the MIAA Traffic Police Division, the Pasay LGU (local government unit), the I-ACT, and other member agencies, shall continue to undertake frequent and on-the-spot operations to keep them out of the NAIA.

The MIAA general manager was prompted to seek the collaboration of the MMDA because of the heavy traffic around NAIA during the Christmas peak.
