N. Cotabato bus bombing alleged ‘brains’ falls
SECURITY forces arrested the alleged mastermind of the two bus bombings in North Cotabato.
Suspect Ali Akbar, the suspected mastermind of the Yellow Bus Line bus bombing in Tulunan on January 27 that killed a woman, and the burning of another YBL bus in M’Lang on June 3 that killed four people, was arrested in an operation in Kidapawan City.
Brig. Gen. Roberto Capulong, commander of the 602nd Infantry Brigade, said Akbar is a bomb expert and an extortionist member of the Dawlah Islamiya-Hassan Group.
Seized from Akbar were an ISIS flag, two improvised explosive devices, one blasting cap and IED components.
