Mystery applicants to plug loopholes in LTO
LAND Transportation Office (LTO) chief Asst. Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II has deployed mystery applicants across the country to identify the loopholes that need to be plugged on all the transactions in the agency.
The deployment of mystery applicants, according to Mendoza, was in compliance with the instruction of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista to the new LTO leadership to come up with measures to make the transactions in the agency faster and more convenient for the Filipino people.
“This measure will give us the real picture of what is happening on the ground, especially on the aspect of delivering services to our kababayan,” he added.
In this way, he said they would come up with the best measures to make the application and renewal of driver’s license and motor vehicle registration and other transactions faster and convenient for LTO clients.
During his assumption speech, Mendoza has committed to immediately resolve all the concerns and problems that LTO clients would observe and experience, citing the value of time in addressing problems in the agency.
“Huwag na nating ipagpabukas o patagalin pa kung kaya namang bigyan ng solusyon ngayon o sa lalong madaling panahon dahil ang talo dito ay ang ating mga kababayan na umaasa ng maayos at mabilis na serbisyo,” said Mendoza.
The LTO chief said he had also initiated meetings with various transport groups and stakeholders and discussed proposals on how to further improve the LTO services across the country.
