A MOST wanted person (MWP) for rape has been nabbed in his hiding place in Barangay Bungahan, Ibaan, Batangas.

Ibaan Municipal Police Station (MPS) Police Lieutenant Lloyd Argente Maralit, deputy chief of police, led the intelligence operatives of Ibaan in the manhunt operation.

The arrest warrant was issued on September 16 by Acting Presiding Judge Maricel M. Magpantay-Ng of the Regional Trial Court of Batangas City.

The accused is now under the custody of Ibaan MPS for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old man drowned after his motorboat capsized off Bgy. Talahib Pandayan, Batangas City, the other day.

Batangas City Police Station (CPS) investigators said the fatality was a resident of Bgy. Talahib Pandayan.

The victim’s wife appeared at the Batangas CPS and reported that her husband had drowned.

According to her statement, while her husband was on board a motorboat around 12:30 p.m. it accidentally capsized due to strong waves.

The victim was immediately brought to Lobo Municipal Hospital in Bgy. Fabrica, Lobo town, but was pronounced dead on arrival at around 12:35 p.m. by the attending physician.
