CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Laguna – A 33-year-old balut vendor was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for raping a 13-year-old victim who was the daughter of her live-in partner in a manhunt operation conducted in Batangas.
The suspect was also included number 1 regional most wanted person (MWP) of Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) area.
CIDG Regional IV-A Director Police Col. Bert Delmas said the arrested suspect identified as Manolito Bautista, of Bgy. Balagtasin 1, San Jose, Batangas.
CIDG Batangas led by PLt. Col. Benedick Poblete said that suspect was wanted for sexually abusing the minor victim sometime in December 2020 at their own house.
Bautista was arrested on Friday at about 1:40 p.m. by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape by sexual assault with recommended bail amounting to P150,000 and two counts of rape in relation to RA 7610 with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Janice Andrada Udarbe, acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 1, Batangas City, dated March 31, 2022.
The rape suspect is now in the custody of CIDG Batangas PFU.
