MW Bulaceño nabbed for loose guns, ammo
CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos – A most wanted (MW) man was arrested in Bulacan PNP’s (Philippine National Police) stepped-up manhunt operation in the province.
Bulacan Police acting Director Col. Rommel Ochave identified the suspect as businessman Arnel Rucio, 52, of Bgy. Tawiran, Obando, Bulacan.
In a report, Force Commander 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) commander Lt. Col. Agosto Asuncion said together with members of the Obando Police and 301st MC RMFB3, they served a warrant of arrest to Rucio, a resident of Bgy. Tawiran, Obando, for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearm and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Seized in the operation were one .45 caliber pistol; three magazines for .45 pistol; one magazine for .9mm gun; a holster; 86 live bullets for .45 pistol; 18 live bullets .9mm gun; 40 live bullets for .22 mm rifle; 139 live bullets for 5.56 mm; one M1 carbine trigger assembly; a barrel for .45 pistol; a carbine bolt assembly; nine hollow-point live bullets for .45 pistol; five magazines for an M16 rifle; nine bullets for .38 revolver; and a black bag.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Balagtas Police executed a search warrant against Rogelio San Jose Jr. who was not present during the operation. Recovered from San Jose’s house were one .38 revolver loaded with three live bullets.
