Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A man wanted for murder was arrested while he was applying for a police clearance Monday in Pampanga.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Mabalacat City police chief Lt. Col. Soledad Elefanio said Jeremiah Montoya, of Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, was arrested at the Great Mall Xevera Subd., Brgy. Tabun in Mabalacat City while applying for a police clearance after police personnel found out he has a warrant of arrest issued by the Angeles City RTC Branch 61 for murder.

Police later found out Montoya was involved in an alleged frat hazing in May 2015 which resulted in the death of a 14-year-old out-of-school youth and resident of South Daang Bakal, Bgy. Dau.

De Leon said police efforts to account and arrest wanted persons send a strong message that Central Luzon is not a safe haven for criminals.
