Multiple vehicle collision at SLEX leaves 2 dead
A DRIVER and a helper on Thursday died in a multiple vehicle collision on South Luzon Expressway in Cabuyao, Laguna.
Police identified the fatalities as jeepney driver Joseph Agdan, of Bgy. Maligaya, Rosario, Batangas; and helper Marco Rosales.
A report from the Regional Highway Patrol Unit – 4A said the road crash occurred at 2.47 a.m. on Thursday on SLEX in San Isidro Bridge area in Cabuyao.
The jeep loaded with eggs and driven by Agdan suffered a blown tire, prompting him to pull over on the side of the road to repair the tire.
Abanilla Limuel, who was also driving another jeep filled with eggs, stopped to help Agdan when a truck tractor driven by Caquilala David crashed into Agdan’s jeep.
The impact brought Agdan’s jeep to the left lane, where Limuel’s jeepney was parked.
Agdan and Rosales were rushed to the hospital but to no avail.
