A FIVE-STOREY, multi-purpose hall complex that comes with a gym and a basketball court and that would serve the third district residents of Manila will soon rise in Binondo.
Its groundbreaking was led yesterday by Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, district Congressman Yul Servo and Councilor Joel Chua. Lacuna and Servo are running for mayor and vice mayor, respectively in 2022, under their local party Asenso Manileno while Chua is seeking to replace Servo in Congress.
Lacuna lauded Servo’s efforts in coming up with the said hall which she said would greatly benefit specially young residents in the third district of Manila.
The vice mayor said that having such projects would help veer the youngsters’ attention away from vices like gambling and drugs and will be very useful once the quarantine situation allows them to go out.
Located along Jaboneros Street in Binondo, Servo said the use of the gym and the basketball court is free.
He said those interested may simply coordinate with the barangay concerned.
