’Motornapper’ shot dead after release from prison

JAEN, Nueva Ecija — A 42-year-old man who was recently released from jail on motornapping charges was shot dead in front of his two siblings by an unidentified gunman on board a scooter here on Wednesday morning.

Police Major Baltazar B. Corpuz, town police head, identified the slain victim as Jose Boncayao, single, of Bgy. Magsalisi here.

Corpuz said the victim was driving a black Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle on their way home with his brother and sister when the suspect wearing a face mask blocked the motorbike’s path and fired at Boncayao.

Boncayao ran but he was shot again several times by the pursuing suspect, killing him on-the-spot.

The gunman fled towards Bgy. Magsalisi on board a Yamaha MIO motorcycle.

Recovered at the crime scene were several cartridges for a cal. 9mm.
