‘Motornapper’ killed in Cavite encounter
NAIC, Cavite – It took more than half an hour to chase a suspected motorcycle thief who swept away a Euro Sport and was caught in a police encounter on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in Barangay Timalan here.
According to the report gathered from the office of Cavite Provincial Director P/Col. Christopher Olazo, at 1:20 a.m., a victim, personally went to the police station and asked for help after his black Euro Sport motorcycle was stolen.
It was learned that the victim was driving the said motorcycle and was traveling along Timalan when the suspect stopped him and forced him to take the motorcycle away.
The Naic Police immediately conducted an “Oplan Sita” and a checkpoint when they spotted the reported motorcycle driven by a man.
They were about to check on the suspect, but he distracted the police and sped away.
This ended in a chase and exchange of gunshots until the suspect was neutralized.
Authorities recovered the motorcycle and a revolver.
Police are still investigating the identity of the suspect.
