Motorcycle rider, backrider killed in road accident
IMUS CITY, Cavite — Two people died after the motorcycle they were riding swerved and hit a concrete island Thursday morning, February 23, 2023, while crossing the Daanghari Road in Pasong Buaya 1 here.
Imus police identified the victims as Clark Joseph Salanguit Amil, 19, resident of 1507 Fabie Street, Barangay 815, Manila and temporary living in Malagasang, driver and his backrider, Jennifer Rose A. Gosim Both were workers at the Yazaki Company.
Police Master Sergeant Luis J Divina and Police Sergeant John Carlo C Punzalan, officer-on-case, said investigation showed the victims were riding a Yamaha Mio with plate no. 612NTL when the accident occurred at 8 a.m.
The vehicle was speeding when the driver lost control. The motorcycle skidded and hit a concrete island.
