Mother Lily pararangalan sa Hollywood
KASALUKUYANG nasa Los Angeles, California ang Regal Entertainment, Inc. producer na si Roselle Monteverde, hindi lang para makilahok sa ginaganap na Manila International Film Festival (MIFF), kundi para personal na tanggapin ang parangal para sa mommy niyang si Mother Lily Monteverde.
Yes, kikilalanin ang yumaong Ina ng Pelikulang Pilipino sa Hollywood at tatanggap ng Monty Manibog MIFF Lifetime Achievement Award sa Tribute Dinner na nakatakdang idaos sa Beverly Hilton sa Biyernes, March 7.
Ito na ang ikalawang taon ng MIFF sa Hollywood. At kasama ni Roselle sa L.A. ang tambalang FranSeth nina Francine Diaz at Seth Fedelin, mga bida sa 2024 MMFF entry ng Regal na “My Future You.”
Sa invitation letter na ipinadala kay Roselle ni Lisa Lelw, executive producer at co-founder ng MIFF, sinabi nito na ang “MIFF aims to unite our two worlds, sharing original stories and connecting the Philippine entertainment industry with that of Hollywood and the global stage.
“MIFF will feature the best in Philippine Cinema at the TCL Theaters in Hollywood, March 4-7, culminating in a closing night Tribute Dinner at the iconic Beverly Hilton, March 7, where we will also pay tribute to our Fil-Am community of first responders who helped to protect so many in the L.A. Fires.
“Your mother, Mother Lily Monteverde, was a most inspiring and powerful voice in our world with a unique gift of uniting our two worlds.
“A voice that brings our culture to life is what the Manila International Film Festival is all about.
“We would be most honored to celebrate Mother Lily and her life’s work with the Monty Manibog MIFF Lifetime Achievement Award at our March 7 Tribute Dinner Celebration. We were hoping you and your family might be joining us to accept the award on your mother’s behalf.
