Moreno to welcome rivals in his Cabinet
A government that would include political rivals and be composed mostly of “young blood.”
This, according to Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko presidential candidate Isko Moreno, is what he plans to have when he becomes President of the country come May 2022.
At the inauguration of his political headquarters in Manila, Moreno said that for as long as they (political foes) are participating for the benefit of the people, he can work with anybody.
Moreno also bared plans to tap the younger generations to help him run the government, adding that he will not be looking at political affiliations when choosing people who can help run the government effectively.
“Basta’t may competence, talent, and skills. We will base it [hiring] on merits. This is the north star of hiring. Elections is just for one day. Magtulong-tulong na tayo pagkatapos nun,” the mayor said.
