
Month-long Caloocan 63rd cityhood anniv
MORE than a dozen activities and programs await residents of the City of Caloocan for the whole month of February as the city government already launched the celebrations for the historic city’s 63rd Anniversary.
The festivities officially started with the free Cityhood Anniversary Kick-off concert which is to be followed by a variety of social development programs for the specific needs of city residents, including community-based medical missions and free health services from both Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) and Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC), a Kasalang Bayan, and even a ballroom-dancing event dedicated for senior citizens.
Economic, livelihood, and tourism-boosting programs were also organized, including the month-long Grand Bazaar for local businesses, two Mega Job Fairs, and the much-anticipated Miss Caloocan 2025.
Likewise included in the line-up of activities is the annual Outstanding Citizens Awards (OCA) Night to commend residents, personalities, and employees who have contributed much to the development of different aspects of the city.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan hoped that everyone enjoyed the kick-off concert and likewise called on his constituents to participate in the upcoming events prepared by the city government for the whole month of February.
The City Mayor emphasized that the commemoration of the Cityhood Anniversary shall give priority to top-notch and efficient services, and expressed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that Caloocan residents will enjoy the full benefits of the said services and activities.
The local chief executive likewise reiterated his gratitude to all Batang Kankaloos for their unwavering support to the city government and his administration.
