
Monsalve-Gan team rules Southwoods pro am
THE team of Ivan Monsalve and amateur stars Oliver and Francesca Gan and Gab Manotoc emerged as champion in Division 1 of the inaugural Southwoods Pro-Am Invitational at the Masters course of the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Carmona, Cavite.
Monsalve and his partners won the Division 1 title by two over Jhonnel Ababa’s team with a net score of 115 (58-57) for 36 holes.
Juvic Pagunsan carded an eight-under-par 64 at the Legends course to lead his team to the pro-am title, Pagunsan sparked his team made up of former Senate president Tito Sotto, brother Maru and Bing Lapus to a four-shot- win over the Ababa-led squad.
Sharing pro-am honors are Rupert Zaragosa and amateur partners Bobby Inigo, Carlito Javier and Ferdie Dimaisip.
The Zaragosa-led squad netted a 111 (54-57) and claimed the Division 2 crown by three over Frankie Miñoza and his partners Nolan Enriquez, Almario Alix and Richard Santos.
Manila Southwoods chairman Bob Sobrepeña awarded the trophies.
