A TRAFFIC enforcer of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) was found hanging lifeless inside their house in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said the lifeless body of the 59-year-old victim was discovered by his younger brother hanging with a rope looped around his neck and the other end tied at the beam ceiling of their house in Brgy. Baritan at around 6:20 a.m. Thursday.

The victim’s brother immediately sought the help of barangay officials and later reported the incident to the Malabon Police Sub-Station-7.

Police learned that earlier, a brother-in-law saw the victim holding a rope, prompting the former to ask “May hihilahin ba kayo kuya.”

The victim ignored the question.

The victim’s wife who was employed at the Port of Manila told police homicide investigator P/Cpl. Rocky Pagindas that her husband was suffering from anxiety and depression due to a chronic illness.

She also executed a waiver for investigation and told police that they are no longer interested in the conduct of an autopsy since they believed that the death of her husband has no foul play.
