THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, together with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Philippine Red Cross (PRC), signed yesterday a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement for the conduct of the first-ever Open Government Partnership (OGP) Fun Run happening on January 26, 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The tripartite signing was led by MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes, DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, and PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang.

This pioneering event serves as a precursor to the 2025 OGP Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting (OGP-APRM), which the country will host in February next year.

The 2025 OGP Fun Run, which is expected to gather 3,000 participants, aims to foster transparency, accountability, and public engagement in governance.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the PRC to fund their life-saving projects.
