Mindanao-based drug suspect falls in Taguig
A MINDANAO-BASED drug personality was nabbed by elements of the District Drug Enforcement Unit of Southern Police District (DDEU-SPD) following a drug sting Monday evening in Taguig City.
SPD Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said joint forces of the DDEU and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) under the supervision of P/Lt. Col. Renante Galang arrested Odin Tuansi, 38, native of Cotabato City and presently residing in Brgy. Lower Bicutan, Taguig City at around 11 p.m. along Road 16, Roldan St. New Lower Bicutan.
The suspect was arrested after he handed a small plastic sachet containing shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money.
Macaraeg said the transaction materialized after more than a week of surveillance operation conducted by elements of DDEU against the suspect following reports of his illegal activity.
When frisked, three small and medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 22.52 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth ₱153,136 and the P500 marked money were seized from his possession.
“Makakaasa ang ating mga kababayan sa Southern Metro ng walang tigil na operasyon kontra droga upang wakasan ang pahirap na dulot nito sa ating komunidad. Patuloy nating lilinisin ang komunidad laban sa lasong ito ng lipunan” BGen. Macaraeg said.
