MANILA International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager (GM) Eddie V. Monreal leads the agencies operating at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in ensuring the security, safety, and convenience of passengers this summer vacation (SumVac) and the upcoming Holy Week.

”With the lowered alert level in relation to COVID-19 in the country, we expect to have a dramatic increase in the volume of passengers and other airport users as well as vehicles at the parking areas, loading, and unloading points within the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA),” MIAA GM Monreal said.

For the entire months of April and May 2022, the MIAA “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2022,” shall conduct intensive security screening and passenger assistance operations to ensure secure, reliable, convenient, and uninterrupted airport operations at NAIA.

The authority has performed extensive inventory and accounting of screening, surveillance, and communications equipment, along with human resources and logistics as part of the operational plans readiness.

“Coordination meetings with tasked units and support groups were done before the execution and implementation of plans,” GM Monreal added.

OPLAN or Malasakit Help Desks are at the airport terminals for assistance with concerns of the passengers.

The riding public may opt to contact the MIAA Hotline numbers (02) 8877-1111; 0917-839-6242; and 0918-918-6242.

NAIA’s social media pages can be reached at NAIA Facebook page: Ninoy Aquino International Airport MIAA and the NAIA Twitter account: @miaagovph.

“May we remind passengers to confirm their flight bookings on the official website of the airline they are taking. Each airline may have their own online forms for their passengers,” GM Monreal said in closing.
