AIRPORT officials are on the double to identify the still unknown driver who overcharged the famous Korean K-pop lead singer Joshua Hong, a report said.

In his social media account, Hong said he and her mother were charged three times by a taxi driver they rode.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said they were aware of the report and are now closely coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to determine the flight that Hong arrived in the country.

MIAA said they would arrest the “abusive” taxi driver victimizing innocent civilians by overcharging fare.

Drivers who commit violations are immediately barred from entering the airport complex while their taxi units are turned over to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and the driver’s licenses confiscated are endorsed to LTO for disposition.

Earlier, the LTFRB condemned the illegal practice of overcharging passengers.
