METROPOLITAN Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos visited on Thursday the provinces of Bohol and Cebu to personally turnover the financial aid donated by Metro Manila mayors.

Abalos said the cash assistance handed out by mayors of the National Capital Region (NCR) amounting to P100 million was accomplished thru Metro Manila Council (MMC) Resolution 21-31 series of 2021 aimed to help the provinces of Bohol and Cebu which were severely hit by Typhoon Odette last December.

Abalos is optimistic that the cash assistance would help those areas in their rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts from the severe damage inflicted by Odette.

After granting the financial assistance, Abalos visited the MMDA contingent deployed in Bohol since the onslaught of the typhoon.

The team is continuously helping the province in its post-disaster response operations since late last year.
